چکیده

Based on the theory of Dunkl operators, this paper presents a general concept of multivariable Hermite polynomials and Hermite functions which are associated with finite reflection groups on R . The definition and properties of these generalized Hermite systems extend naturally those of their classical counterparts; partial derivatives and the usual exponential kernel are here replaced by Dunkl operators and the generalized exponential kernel K of the Dunkl transform. In case of the symmetric group SN , our setting includes the polynomial eigenfunctions of certain Calogero-Sutherland type operators. The second part of this paper is devoted to the heat equation associated with Dunkl’s Laplacian. As in the classical case, the corresponding Cauchy problem is governed by a positive one-parameter semigroup; this is assured by a maximum principle for the generalized Laplacian. The explicit solution to the Cauchy problem involves again the kernel K, which is, on the way, proven to be nonnegative for real arguments. 1991 AMS Subject Classification: Primary: 33C80, 35K05; Secondary: 44A15, 33C50. Running title: Hermite polynomials and the heat equation for Dunkl operators.

An Alternative Definition of the Hermite Polynomials Related to the Dunkl Laplacian

We introduce the so-called Clifford–Hermite polynomials in the framework of Dunkl operators, based on the theory of Clifford analysis. Several properties of these polynomials are obtained, such as a Rodrigues formula, a differential equation and an explicit relation connecting them with the generalized Laguerre polynomials. A link is established with the generalized Hermite polynomials related ...

Biorthogonal polynomials associated with reflection groups and a formula of Macdonald

Dunkl operators are differential-difference operators on R which generalize partial derivatives. They lead to generalizations of Laplace operators, Fourier transforms, heat semigroups, Hermite polynomials, and so on. In this paper we introduce two systems of biorthogonal polynomials with respect to Dunkl’s Gaussian distributions in a quite canonical way. These systems, called Appell systems, ad...

Characterization of the Dunkl-classical symmetric orthogonal polynomials

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Dunkl-classical orthogonal polynomials. Then, we show that generalized Hermite and generalized Gegenbauer polynomials are the only Dunkl-classical symmetric orthogonal polynomials by solving a suitable differential-difference equation. 2006 Elsevier Inc. Maximal Operators Associated with Generalized Hermite Polynomial and Function Expansions

We study the weak and strong type boundedness of maximal heat–diffusion operators associated with the system of generalized Hermite polynomials and with two different systems of generalized Hermite functions. We also give a necessary background to define Sobolev spaces in this context.

The Calogero Model : Integrable Structure and Orthogonal Basis

Abstract. Integrability, algebraic structures and orthogonal basis of the Calogero model are studied by the quantum Lax and Dunkl operator formulations. The commutator algebra among operators including conserved operators and creation-annihilation operators has the structure of the W-algebra. Through an algebraic construction of the simultaneous eigenfunctions of all the commuting conserved ope...
